Myst Online is back. Cyan Worlds has raised enough money to open a first phase open source Myst Online: URU Live server. This is a free version of the Myst Online massively multiplayer online role playing game with no subscription or client download cost.
MO:UL includes Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Uru: To D’ni, and Uru: The Path Of The Shell. Fans can create and host their own URU servers and worlds. The Myst Online series is a long one. The game originally started in 2003 as Uru: Ages Beyond Myst and was published by Ubisoft. Myst Online is an exploratory game where players solve puzzles and advance a storyline within ancient D’ni ruins. GameTap lat ran the game in 2007 but it was cancelled because of few subscribers.
